Whether you’re challenging a resident to game of chess or participating in a group outing, there are endless ways you can volunteer and help make a difference at Heritage Pointe.
Grow your heart and connections
When you volunteer at Heritage Pointe, you have the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships. Our residents have lived incredible lives throughout Orange County and the world. Volunteering at Heritage Pointe allows you to give back to the community you care about while hearing engaging stories and priceless advice for all ages.
Ways to make a difference at Heritage Pointe
Adults, teens, children, family — all are welcome to volunteer. Explore our current opportunities to give back.
Centerpiece crafting
Bring a group of friends or family and craft 25 centerpieces for use on each table in the main dining room.
Craft instructor
Spearhead a fun and easy craft for residents! Our residents enjoy craft projects ranging from painting to origami. You supply the instruction, and we will supply the materials.
Entertainment
Can you play an instrument or sing? Offer 30-45 minutes of musical selections to residents.
Games
Whether its checkers, chess, puzzles, or Scrabble, visit with residents and play games.
Gift shop
Volunteer in the gift shop Tuesday, Thursdays, or Sundays and help residents and visitors make purchases, wrap gifts, and run the register.
Medical escort
Help residents get safely to their doctor appointments and back home to Heritage Pointe. Transportation is provided, and volunteers must be 18+.
Outing escort
Assist residents on adventures around Orange County. Visit museums, the beach, and other popular destinations on a Heritage Pointe bus.
Shabbat usher
Each Friday evening at 4:00 pm, join Rabbi in the Synagogue to greet residents and help them get a seat and siddur.
